Today, on 12th of April, representatives of Enterprise Georgia’s investment & export pillars held a meeting with Chinese delegation and made a presentation concerning Georgia’s Invetsment Climate.
It should be noted that the Agency state agency hosted representatives of the local government of China, who are interested with Georgia's investment climate and specific investment projects. Moreover, the representatives of the Chinese private sector companies, from such as sectors as telecommunications& information technology, manufacturing, tourism and financial sector were attending the meeting as well.
Mainly the interested of the guest party was directed towards the presentation of the business environment and investment opportunities in Georgia, particularly information on liberal tax regimes, free trade agreements, structural and institutional reforms, as well as large investment projects. For the purpose of future cooperation, both side discussed the prospects of sharing knowledge & experience.
As a note: Enterprise Georgia -Invest division plays a role of moderator between foreign investors and the Government of Georgia, ensuring that the investor gets different types of updated information and has means of effective communication with the Government bodies. The aim of the Invest division is to attract, promote and develop direct foreign investments in Georgia. It serves as a “One-stop-shop” for investors to support companies before, during & after investment process.
