The official opening of a completely new French-Georgian frozen pastry factory




The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava and the Director of the Agency - Enterprise Georgia Mikheil Khidureli attended the official opening of a completely new French-Georgian frozen pastry factory equipped with advanced high-tech equipment.

The business is an Enterprise Georgia's Industrial Component beneficiary, and is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) program.

Food Alliance results from the Georgian-French cooperation with the long experienced actors in the production and business development sector. The total investment of this project is 11 million GEL. The company offers a large assortment of European-style baked goods based on French traditions. It produces more than 100 product types for all significant local retail chains.

The partnership successfully collaborates with the Danish Refugee Council under the auspices of the European Union, promoting the education and employment of the IDP population.

The company currently employs 100 people, 80% of whom are IDPs from the occupied Tskhinvali region. According to the management, along with the business growth, they also expect an increase in employees.
