LEPL Enterprise Georgia under the ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is directed towards the development of entrepreneurship through establishing new enterprises, expanding existing ones and promoting entrepreneurial culture in the country. Having three major pillars, namely: Enterprise Georgia – Business, Enterprise Georgia – Invest, and Enterprise Georgia – Export, the agency focuses on increasing the competitiveness of private sector, enhancing country’s export potential and promoting/supporting foreign direct investments in Georgia.
Within the frames of the agency, one more company, namely “MGMTX” LLC will be opened in Kutaisi, which is going to specialize in production of apparel for men and women. The given company is affiliated one of the Romanian clothing company “Ottorose” that produces clothes for the established brands such as "H & M", "Mango", "Zara", "Coast" "Colveta", "United Colors of Benetton", "Oasis". MGMTX is built on Georgian-Romanian investment with the assistance of the Enterprise Georgia’s investment pillar.
In particular, Enterprise Georgia - Investment pillar plays a role of mediator between foreign investors and the Government of Georgia, ensuring that the investor gets different types of updated information and has means of effective communication with the Government bodies. The aim of the Investment division is to attract, promote and develop direct foreign investments in Georgia. It serves as a “One-stop-shop” for investors to support companies before, during & after investment process. Respectively potential beneficiaries received “one stop shop” type of support to obtain various information to project implementation. The company was interested in business expansion in Georgia six months ago while potential investors were studying investment opportunities of Georgia in depth.
Likewise MGMTX LLC is a beneficiary of State Program “Produce in Georgia”, meaning that the company will receive co-financing of annual interest rate on commercial loan during the first two years from the state agency “Enterprise Georgia”. With the financial assistance, company will be able to purchase the latest technology of sewing machines. The enterprise will be oriented to export and aims to realize its products in European countries such as Romania, Sweden etc.
The enterprise, which will be launched in early April 2018, is going to produce garments worth of 3 300 000 GEL annually. At an initial stage enterprise employs 250 locals, while this number will increase up to 350 on later stages. Total investment volume of the project amounts 2 500 000 GEL.
