On May 18-19 2016, Awex - Export and Investment agency of Wallonia hosted the business conference "Belgium-Georgia Partnerships: A Promising Match" aiming to present Georgia's business and investment environment to Belgian businessmen.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium, Georgian National Investment Agency (GNIA); Export and Investment agency of Wallonia (AWEX), Flanders Investment and Trade Agency (FIT) and Invest and Export agency of Brussels Region.
Giorgi Pertaia, Director of the Georgian National Investment Agency presented the Georgian investment environment and highlighted the competitive advantages of the Country ; Dirk Schuebel, Head of the Eap Division, EEAS presented the DCFTA's opportunities for Georgian business.
Noting the increasing interest from Belgian companies to invest and expand their businesses in Georgia, the Belgian businessmen Thierry Cardinael and Laurent Fabry discussed Belgian companies success stories in the country.
