Sergey Tigipko Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs of Ukraine paid a visit to Georgia along with the government and business delegation that included representatives of more than 90 companies.
On 28th of October meeting of joint commission was held at Holiday Inn, which was followed by Georgia-Ukraine business forum participated by more than 200 local and Ukrainian companies. Till this point, it was a biggest gathering of business representatives from both countries. Forum was officially opened by H.E Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister of Georgia, who informed Ukrainian delegation on current economic situation in Georgia and the future plans of the Government. Welcoming remarks were also made by Sergey Tigipko, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Giorgi Baramidze, Vice Prime Minister of Georgia. Business forum was organized by the office of State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Georgian National Investment Agency, Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Georgian Employers Association.
After the official part, B2B meetings between Georgian and Ukrainian companies took place and the companies face to face had an opportunity to discuss future cooperation in the various sectors of economy such as: finance, agriculture, telecommunications and tourism.
