On September 7, 2011 Georgian Wine Testing took place at Vinopolis wine museum in London, UK. The Event was organized by the Georgian National Investment Agency under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and with Support of the Georgian Embassy in London, British-Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Association Georgian Wine.Georgian National Investment Agency decided to launch its beverage campaign in Vinopolisas this venue is the cosmopolitan centre of all wines on earth -where Georgia declares itsCradle of Wine status to the rest of the world. Vinopolis has not been visited by Georgian wine producers for the last several years and GNIA used this opportunity to remind the world wine industry representatives of countrys wine export potential.
GNIA has invited wine experts, opinion makers, UK beverage business representatives, government officials, UK beverage importers and traders, wholesalers and retail chain decision makers, local media to the event.
The Guests were welcomed by H.E. Giorgi Badridze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia in the UK, followed by Ms. Keti Bochorishvili, Director of the Georgian National Investment Agency informing audience on investment and trade opportunities in Georgia. Georgian Wine Association head Ms. Tina Kezeli and Wine Experts, including Ms. Isabele Legeron MW also made short introduction on Georgian wine.
One of the interesting components of the evening apart from Georgian folk music and dance was the Prize Draw. Guests had an opportunity to draw prizes, including Business Class Ticket to Tbilisi kindly sponsored by Aerosvit Ukrainian Airlines in UK & Irelandto attend Trade With Georgia 2011 Beverage Tradeshow in November.At November event allleading Georgian beverage producers will showcase their export produce in an exclusive tradeshow where companies and visiting delegates, will explore mutual business opportunities, engage in intensive B2B talks and share their views and experience at the high profile forum and fascinating gala dinner over Georgian “Supra”. The Guest of Honour will be Ms. Perrotti-Brown Singapores only Master of Wine writing for the worlds most renowned wine publication, ‘Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. Ms. Perrotti-Brown covers the Asian region entirely.
