CNN eyeing Georgia

CNNs eye was on Georgia from June 27 until July 1. Every evening, 20:30 London time, global viewers had a chance to take a glance at Georgias catchiest topics: its current achievements, its transformation since the Rose Revolution, Georgian traditions and a bit of its history.
The channel focused on a number of topics, such as the Dmanisi excavations, Georgian traditional wrestling, the achievements of the Interior Ministry, reforms in the education system, South African farmers in Georgia and Georgias national cuisine.

It should be noted that CNN is not a contractor company and the television was interested in reforms and success formula the country has found. When asked did CNN select Georgia as the topic in the first place or was it offered to the channel by the Georgian side Paula immediately answered:
“If you look at countries weve been covering: Ukraine, India and so on, were trying to give viewers a very diverse range of things that are covered. What is specific to Georgia right now is the fact that you had a rose revolution in 2003. So whether you think the results since revolution are good bad or mixed, it is interesting. To come back to a country that has had a revolution several years back and to see what happened as successes what are the challenges, what more is there to do is interesting”
Very soon in middle of July representatives of McKinsey & Company a global management consulting firm will also visit our country as according to them Georgia is an excellent case example of effective governance and rapid, positive reform.
