GNIA, TURKONFED and GEC establishing a trilateral cooperation

From July 1-2, 2011, George Tsikolia, the Deputy director of the Georgian National Investment Agency and investment projects coordinator, Zurab Zedelashvili, participated in a conference organized by the Union of Black Sea and Caspian Sea Enterprises held in Batumi. The GNIA Investment team members provided the audience a presentation on the current investment climate in Georgia and conducted B2B meetings with numerous Turkish companies.


In the framework of the conference, the Georgian Entrepreneurs Confederation (GEC), the Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TURKONFED) and the Georgian National Investment Agency, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in order to establish a trilateral cooperative agreement that aims to enhance and develop further ties and networks, as well as increase the economic activity of the Georgian and Turkish business communities. The parties have agreed to organize and implement joint conferences, seminars and exhibitions, exchange information on business and investment opportunities for member companies and promote favorable economic and legal conditions for attracting new investment.
