Through May 17-19, 2011 European Economic Forum was held in Katowice, Poland. The Georgian side was represented by Irakli Matkava, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and George Tsikolia Deputy Director of Georgian National Investment Agency.
On May 19 panel discussion with the theme “Georgia the Land of Economic Freedom” took place and was participated by 50 polish companies as well as the media representatives.
Mr. Matkava presented the current political situation in Georgia outlining the recent reforms undertaken by the government of Georgia. Mr. Tsikolia discussed the investment opportunities in the energy and real estate sectors mainly focusing on the hydro power development and tourism infrastructure.
