On March 22, 2011 the representatives of Georgian National Investment Agency visited Gori Municipality. Workshop was attended by Keti Bochorishvili, GNIA Director, Ia Janashia, the deputy director, GIZ representatives and Zviad Khmaladze, Gori Council Chairman. Gori Municipality has made a presentation on the investment opportunities in the region, followed by Keti Bochorishvili informing the meeting participants about GNIA activities in terms of attracting FDI, agencys future plans and ongoing projects.
Keti Bochorishvili noted that the agency is planning to launch two brand new web portals. One completely focused on the needs of the local exporters providing comprehensive information on the exports procedures and another English language web portal for the people interested in international trade. The trade web page will include the catalogue of Georgian products. Web portal will be easy to navigate through and find useful information on trade. GNIA director also emphasized that the agency is working on the export strategy what will include the analysis of demands at international market and compliance of products made in Georgia.
As a result of the meeting Georgian National Investment Agency and Gori Municipality agreed to have an active cooperation. Municipality will shortly start providing concrete business proposals and projects to GNIA.
