The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia invites international companies to pre-qualify for the expression of interest on 100% Sale of the State ownership of 3 irrigation companies incorporated under Georgian law. Irrigation and drainage in Georgia is managed by just four state-owned companies and three of them are subject to this sale notification.
The three companies (Sioni-M LLC, Kolkheti-M LLC and Alazani-M LLC) are providing amelioration services (irrigation and drainage) for a total of 67,270 hectares of agricultural land and are serving 127,900 customers. These companies own a vast network of irrigation channels. The network already accommodates private hydro-power stations with the total installed capacity of 47.1 mW and can accommodate 48.3 mW more. Steady growth in the agricultural and energy sectors makes the privatization of these companies a secure and growth-oriented investment: Interested parties are requested to submit a company profile that should include official name and address, contact information and contact person, experience statement and key financial indicators.
