Georgia Road Show in Germany

Through 8-9 December 2010 GTZ, DWVG, Bavarian chamber of Commerce, North Rhine-Westphalia Industrial Chamber of Commerce and Trade  and Georgian National Investment Agency organized Georgia Road Show in Munich and Dusseldorf, Germany. 

 

The Road Show was opened in Munich with the opening remarks from Archil Kekelia, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Claus Hipp owner of famous Hipp brand and former president of Bavarian Chamber of Commerce.  Mrs. Gabriela Von Habsburg Georgia Ambassador to Germany also made a welcome speech and supported Georgian colleagues.

 

The Georgian side was represented by government and private sector representatives. The presentations at the event included Georgian economy overview and the sector presentations covering energy, real estate and construction, agriculture, tourism.  Rakia Georgia Free Industrial Zone representative informed audience on the current activities within the zone, investment opportunities and Viktor Kipiani partner at MKD legal consultations firm outlined the legal aspects of doing business in Georgia.  The road show in Munich was attended by more than 70 local company representatives. On December 9, 2010 the similar format road show was conducted in Dusseldorf and was attended by 30 local company representatives.

 

Each of the events was followed by panel discussions. The members of Georgian delegation provided comprehensive information regarding current economic activities in various sectors.
