On November 4, 2010 Georgian and Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministers officially opened the Georgian-Iran business forum organized at Tbilisi Marriot Hotel. Iran business delegation was represented by more than 30 people from government structures and private sector operating in the following fields: Energy (hydro power stations, artificial lakes,), road construction/highways, agriculture (green houses, bio production), vehicle production, tourism, insurance and banking.
In the framework of the business forum presentation was provided on current investment climate in Georgia, as well as the overview of the Poti Free Industrial Zone developed by Rakia Georgia. The second part of the event was dedicated to B2B meetings between Iranian and Georgian companies. The business forum was organized by Georgian National Investment Agency and the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in Georgia.
The Iran business delegation arrived to Georgia on November 3, 2010 and conducted meetings with local partners on the same day.
