On October 12, 2010 an export promotion seminar targeted at small and medium enterprises was conducted at German House. The event was organized by GTZ, DWVG and Georgian National Investment Agency.
The seminar aimed at informing participants on modern techniques of finding new partners and establishing international cooperation. Agenda featured many interesting presentations provided by the organizers and the invited speakers. Presenters from Georgian National Investment Agency, GTZ, DWVG, ProCredit Bank, DHL disseminated information on various issues of special interest to participating companies among them: HS codes, (product customs codes), preparing export documentation, Internet supplier directories, proving export origin, export procedures and export opportunities for Georgian companies, International Bank Guarantees; Documentary Collections – Combined methods of payment; Letters of Credit etc.
It should be noted that the presentation made by GNIA export promotion unit was highly appreciated by audience and generated many interesting questions as well as discussions. Besides informing on GNIA export promotion activities the National Investment Agency representative presented new export web portal www.exports.ge which is completely focused on the needs and interests of the Georgia exporters.
The seminar proved to be highly productive, lasted for whole day and number of participating companies reached 60.
