On September 28, 2010 Radisson Blu Iveria hotel hosted a Georgian-German Business forum. The organizers of the event were Georgian National Investment Agency, German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, DWVG in Georgia and “COMMIT”. The German delegation visit lasted for two days and along with the above mentioned event featured visits to different ministries and economic sites.
Germany was represented by 13 compaties from the following sectors: Export promotion, Identification marking of animals, Household products, Plastics technology, Water technology, Engineering industry, Building and construction, International Trade, Planning, Construction and Agriculture, Consulting, Textile, Chemical industry, Plant engineering and construction, Road construction techniques, Consulting, development of projects.
The above mentioned companies had B2B meetings with Georgian companies and expressed willingness to start new cooperation in Georgia. The Georgian side was represented by up to 80 companies.
On September 29 the members of German delegation had meetings at Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture, Georgian Oil & Gas Corporation, Tbilisi City Hall. The agenda also contained visits to JSC NIKORA and two factories: KNAUF Gips Tbilisi Gmbh (Plant) and BARAMBO LTD, Chocolate producer company. It should be noted that the German delegation members were highly impressed with the factories.
