Through September 22-23, 2010 Jordan Chamber of Commerce delegation visited Georgia. In the frameworks of the visit a Georgian-Jordan business forum and product exhibition was conducted at “Courtyard Marriot” hotel. The event was organized jointly by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Georgian Employers Association, Georgian National Investment Agency was a partner of the business forum.
The Jordan delegation was represented by 8 companies from the following sectors: olive oil production, wood furniture and accessories, construction materials, packaging items, the dead sea products, paper production, stationery items, electronic gadgets, printing materials and chocolate production.
The above mentioned companies had discussions with Georgian business sector representatives in order to establish business partnerships. The event was participated by up to 30 Georgian companies.
Jordan delegation had a meeting with Irakli Matkava, Georgian National Investment Agency director who outlined the current investment climate in the country, Georgia ratings according to different international surveys and also current investment opportunities.
Jordan delegation expressed high interest in establishing business partnerships with Georgian counterparts.
