September 24, 2009 – The seminar titled “Azerbaijan and Georgia: Business Opportunities” was held in Brussels, Belgium on September 24th.
The event was organized by the Investment and Trade Agency of Flanders “Flanders Investment and Trade” with the support of the embassies of Georgia and Azerbaijan in Belgium. 70 companies from the region of Flanders, which are interested in exploring business opportunities on the Georgian market, attended the seminar. These companies are engaged in different business activities ranging from consultancy, transport and logistics, construction materials, food industry, electric industry, textile and clothing, energy, etc. Investor Relations Coordinator of the Georgian National Investment Agency Mikheil Kobaladze traveled to Brussels specially for this occasion to make a presentation of the Georgian economy and investment environment to the companies from Flanders. The delegation of the Flemish businessmen will visit Georgia on November 18-20 to further investigate business opportunities on the spot.
