On 15-16th of September 2009, the Expo Deutschland was held at Radisson sas Hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Expo was initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Technologies of the Federal Republic of Germany and organized by the Georgian National Investment Agency in cooperation with the German Union of Economic Development in Georgia and supported by the Embassy of Germany to Georgia.
The event was opened with a welcome speech of the Ambassador of Germany to Georgia H.E. Mrs. Patricia Flor, which was followed by the speech of the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili. The Minister expressed his gratitude to the representatives of Germany and a hope of further development of successful business relationships between the two countries.
21 German companies were representing the Federal Republic of Germany and held B2B meetings with Georgian businessmen. The delegation visited the Tbilisi City Hall, the Ministry of Energy of Georgia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, and the Ministry of Healthcare of Georgia where they were given brief presentation about investment opportunities in Georgia and shown already existing successful foreign direct investment examples
