Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association to Georgia

Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmens Association is on its visit to Georgia, organized by the Georgian National Investment Agency. The delegation consisting of Turkish business executives is headed by MUSIAD chairman, Mr. Omer Cihad Vardan.

 

The visit started on 9th of August 2009 in Batumi, where the Turkish businessmen were hosted by Mr. Levan Varshalomidze, the Chairman of Autonomous Republic of Adjaria.

On 10th of August the guests arrived to Tbilisi for official meetings. Mr. Lasha Zhvania, the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia welcomed the guests, mentioning the vital role of Georgian-Turkish trade and economic ties and stressing the importance of further development of cooperation. Following the Ministers speech, Ms. Nino Baratashvili, the Director of the Georgian National Investment Agency gave a comprehensive presentation on Georgias economic outlook. Further the guests also met with Mr. Giorgi Baramidze, the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia and Mrs. Mariam Valishvili, the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Georgia.

 

Delegation also plans to held meetings with Mr.Kakha Baindurashvili, the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Selim Kuz, Turkish International Cooperation and Development Project Coordinator in Georgia, Mr. Fadi Asli, the President of International Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Soso Nibladze, Marketing Chief Executive of RAKIA Free Industrial Zone.
