On the 17th of July 2009 the German Economic Union Forum was held in Marriot Courtyard, organized by the German Business Association in Georgia and the Georgian National Investment Agency.
The welcoming speeches were given by Professor Dr. Hipp, the Chairman of the German Business Association in Georgia and Mr. Lasha Zhvania, the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia. The speakers underlined the Georgian - German close relations and importance of further proactive cooperation. Dr. Martin Wansleben, the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federal Republic of German reviewed existed financial and economic crisis and current developings in Germany. Dr. Jurgen Mollering, the Managing Director of the Legal Department of the Chamber of Commerce spoke about the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany, about their tasks and structure.
The forum was attended by the representatives of the business societies in Georgia.
