In May 2008 the Georgian National Investment Agency (GNIA) held business forums in several regions of Georgia – Kakheti, Imereti and Guria.
The first international business forum named “Kutaisi – The Second Capital” was held in Kutaisi where the representatives of the government and business circles discussed investment opportunities and development potential of the city including future development of the Kopitnari Airport, industrial development of Western Georgia, foreign investments in Kutaisi, natural recourses, tourism, etc.
The second business forum was held in Ozurgeti, Guria where the parties spoke about the regions development opportunities, “cheap credit” projects, tourism zone development in Bakhmaro, etc.
The third business forum was held in Telavi, Kakheti where infrastructure development, road rehabilitation, water supply, irrigation problems, “cheap credit” projects, tourism development and other topics were discussed.
