“KazTransGas – Tbilisi” plans new rehabilitation works

In next 4 years “KazTransGas – Tbilisi” plans the rehabilitation works on network providing gas to Tbilisi. The cost of the project will be USD 100 million. From 2006 “KazTransGas” is the owner of “TbilGas” JSC assets and during this period the company already invested USD 45.5 million in Georgia.

 “KazTransGas-Tbilisi” development plan till 2011 is approved and it considers the complete rehabilitation of Tbilisi gas network. The company will invest nearly USD 100 million in this project. By the beginning of 2012 the company plans to fulfill its obligation of investment program. This help to decrease gas loss to normative level and the network system will work efficiently and without damages.

Total length of Tbilisi gas network is 2 414 km, including 232 km is of high pressure gas pipelines, 810km of middle pressure gas pipelines and 1 372 km of low pressure gas pipelines.

“KazTransGas” serves more than 300 000 customers, including 5 400 utilities and 500 large enterprises.

It employees 1 732 workers.
