The Ukrainian company “Plastnac” will package Georgian citruses

Plastics producing factory has opened in Batumi, Georgia. The owner of the factory is the Ukrainian “Plastnac” JSC. The value of the project is USD 20 million.

The new enterprise is located in the former sports center in a Batumi suburb, which “Plastnac” purchased in the auction. Repair works of the building lasted for nearly a year. All the necessary communication facilities and roads to the building are already built. The most of the equipment was leased from Ukraine.  

At the first stage, the factory will produce plastic boxes for citruses with the plan of producing other products in future.  

 “Plastnac” already concluded the agreement with “Agrocomp”, the company that exports Georgian citruses to CIS countries. According to Mr. Vladimir Liuto, Director General of Plastnac, the factory start operation in full capacity in 2009.
