As Aleksandre Gomiashvili, head of JSC CreditInfo (the only one loan office in the country), says, presently the company has 17 clients, including 13 out of 18 banks, operating in Georgia. Three of them (Peoples Bank, Bazisbank and Standard Bank) have been added to the list this year.
Service of loan office is used by Association of Georgian Micro-Finance Organizations (AG Microfinance) as well.
Gomiashvili says that consumer credits, issued by clients of the company, make up 95% of total crediting volume in Georgia.
Since this spring, CreditInfo Georgia provides its clients with information on outstanding and paid out credits below $20,000. Gomiashvili said that data covers credits, issued by four banks and one micro-finance organization, refrained to name them, however.
Gomiashvili declined to specify the planned innovations as well, adding only that draft bill "On Credit Bureau", being considered by the Parliament, will support company in its activity and provide information security.
