Black Sea Trade and Development Bank to Fund Two Projects in Georgia

As Finance Ministry informs, board of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) approved two Georgian projects of $8 million at the meeting, held in Thessaloniki, Greece.

 

Cartu bank will receive credit of $5 million, aiming promotion trade relations of Georgia with Black Sea countries. TBC Leasing will receive $3 million, aiming small and middle business development in Georgia.

 

According to the Finance Ministry, BSTDB has funded 13 projects of $50 million worth in Georgia for 1999-2007. Besides, BSTDB plans to increase financial resource to Georgia up to $100 million.

 

BSTDB was founded by BSEC (Black Sea Economic Cooperation) member-states in 1999. Headquarters of the bank is located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Georgia has a 1% share in the chartered capital of the bank
