A tariff on using broadband resources (DSL pairs) by internet service providers will be defined on July 17.
Iago Khichvani, head of the Business-Process Analysis Center of Caucasus Online, a provider of internet services, said the company would complete negotiations with United Telecom of Georgia (UTC) by July 17.
Khichvani said if a tariff for using broadband resources increases, this will not have any impact on subscribers' subscription fees.
Those subscribers who already paid the difference of 13.5 GEL (VAT excluding) in the tariff will be either returned the funds or the money will be placed in deposit.
Earlier the UTC had increased the tariff of using broadband resources from 3 to 16.6 GEL (by 13.5 GEL).
Gela Butbaia, an expert of the National Communications Commission, said no extra charges will appear at the Georgian retail internet market.
