Czech EnergoPro Investment Volume in Georgian Energy will make up $417m

Nika Gilauri, Georgian Energy Minister, said at today's new conference that Czech EnergoPro total investment in Georgian energy will amount to $417 million. Among them $132 million is already transferred in Georgian budget, as a payment for energy objects, purchased in June 2006.

 

George Arveladze, Minister of Economic Development of Georgia, said that LLC EnergoPro Georgia, Georgian subsidiary of Czech company, being the owner of energy entities, will invest $85 million in HES rehabilitation, as for energy distributing companies, investment will make up $15 million yearly.

 

With this, Energy Minister noted, that EnergoPro plans to construct 100 MW one or several hydroelectric stations, the negotiations on which will start tomorrow.

 

Just to remind, Czech company EnergoPro undertook to pay $312.35 million in 2 distributing energy companies and 6 hydroelectric stations after it became winner of last year's privatizing auction.
