Georgian Minister for Economic Development Giorgi Arveladze will leave for Washington on June 19.

Ministry of  Economic Development was reported that on June 20, an agreement will be signed between Georgia and U.S. governments over air shipments. Based on the agreement, an ‘open sky policy' will enter into force between the two countries. Respectively, it will be possible to carry out direct air flights beyond the ocean.

‘It's our aim to have maximally many airplanes flying between the U.S. and Georgia, that will cause reduction of travel fares, as well as ensure deeper competition on the market,' Giorgi Arveladze stressed.

As part of the visit program, it is also planned to ink various agreements on trade and attraction of investments.
