Enterprise Georgia, the implementing agency of the program “Film in Georgia” is hosting the high rank officials from HBO and UNIVERSAL PICTURES. Famous American filmmakers have worked on such films as "TRANSFORMERS", "STAR WARS: The Force Awakens", "SKY FALL", "NEVER LET ME GO", etc. They will visit Batumi, Chiatura, Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Uplistsikhe, Tsikhisdziri and Rustavi.
Within the visit, Georgian filmmakers and representatives of Georgian production companies will meet foreign guests, share their experiences and introduce the possibilities of Georgian cinematography and existing infrastructure.
“Film in Georgia” offers 20-25% cash rebate on qualified expenses incurred in Georgia and aims to support the development of Georgia’s film industry, attract international filmmakers to the country and position Georgia as the main Eastern European Filming Destination.
The incentive has already attracted 20 productions, out of which 15 have been completed, but the shootings of 5 project are taking place now. The accumulated spending of all of these productions has amounted to more than GEL 39.8 mln and 6 000 local jobs created.
