Following the visit to Saudi Arabia, and a series of meetings on the side-line of the World Tourism Day 2023, the CEO of Enterprise Georgia, Mikheil Khidureli stated that: “Saudi Arabia is a strategically significant market for Georgia in terms of trade and investment, and "Enterprise Georgia” is dedicated to enhance communication with Saudi Arabian companies, in order to boost these relations”.
During the event, the CEO of Enterprise Georgia engaged in important discussions with the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Khalid A. Al-Falih, as well as with notable Saudi Arabian companies. During the meetings, Mikheil Khidureli presented Georgia's investment opportunities and its appeal to potential investors.
Khidureli also highlighted that the meetings were made possible by facilitation of Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), who plays a pivotal role in promoting investments and tourism potential across various nations.
"Saudi Arabia remains a top priority for our country in terms of strategic economic collaboration. Over recent years, we've observed a rising trend in trade and economic partnerships between the two countries. Nonetheless, there's still considerable potential to attract Saudi Arabian investments. Given this context, during the UNWTO - World Tourism Day conference, we had fruitful meetings with the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, during which we highlighted Georgia's investment opportunities.
Additionally, we conversed with leading Saudi companies, especially in the energy and real estate sectors. I am optimistic about the engagement in the forthcoming phase of our cooperation," Mikheil Khidureli added.
