As insurance company Imedi-L declared, volume of premium, attracted in 1st quarter, made up 1.03 million lari, which accounts for 4.8% of markets totals and ranks the 6th.
Same figure of last year was 2.1 million lari (5% of markets totals, the 4th position). As for whole 2006 year, attracted premium made up 8.4 million lari (11.9% of markets totals) and the company ranked the 3rd.
The changes in figures are conditioned by the sharpened competition on insurance market, Lasha Nikoladze, deputy director general, told to Sarke. Reduction of Imedi-L market share begun in 2002, he noted.
Nikoladze informed that the company will move in new office in September and will offer new products to clients.
It should be noted, that in February of the current year 34% of Imedi-L was acquired by EBRD. The rest share is held by private individuals, Nikoladze said.
