Share of Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia) increased from 32.799 lari (January 4) to 50.896 lari (April 24), Georgian Stock Exchange informs.
Securities of the mentioned bank hold the leading position in the Exchanges turnover in 1st quarter – 313,650 stocks worth of 12.7 million lari (37% of total). Minimal price made up 32.5 lari, maximal – 54.0 lari.
In 2006 deals of 53.6 million lari were made with securities of Bank of Georgia (32% of total), 4.29 million shares were sold. Minimal price made up 6.0 lari, maximal – 35.5 lari.
As for the over-the-counter market (OTC), two deals for 3.8 million lari were made in the 1st quarter (25.4% of total), 111,105 shares were sold. Price per share made up 32.50 lari in January and 49.39 lari – in March.
In 2006, 943,043 shares were sold on OTC market for 10.2 million lari (9.5 % of total). Minimal price amounted to 7.39 lari, and maximal – 21.62 lari.
Trade with shares of Bank of Georgia is being carried out in London Stock Exchange since November 2006. Price have increased by 68% during this period and The Financial Times have named Bank of Georgia as the most successfully quoted on LSE among CIS companies, the bank informs
