The booth of the state program “Film in Georgia” will be presented at the London International Expo




The booth of the state program “Film in Georgia” will be presented at the London International Expo - FOCUS.

FOCUS brings together representatives of all industries related to audiovisual production – including film, TV, advertising, animation and interactive – and is the only UK trade event where attendees can meet with content makers, film commissions, production services and locations providers from over 60 countries. Each December, the industry’s key players converge at FOCUS, transforming two days of meetings, networking events and seminars into deals and lasting business relationships.

Within the scope of this exhibition, there is presented the information booth of the program "Film in Georgia”, where any interested person will be able to obtain comprehensive information about the so-called "cash rebate" mechanism. In addition, the representatives of the program and the Georgian production companies (Sarke Studio, Metro Productions, Geo Film Productions, Vineyard Films and Silk Factory Studio) will hold individual meetings with the leading representatives of the film industry .

In 2016 Enterprise Georgia introduced program “Film in Georgia” that is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia.

“Film in Georgia” offers 20-25% cash rebate on qualified expenses incurred in Georgia and aims to support the development of Georgia’s film industry, attract international filmmakers to the country and position Georgia as the main Eastern European Filming Destination. The incentive has already attracted 18 productions, out of which 9 have been completed, but the shootings of 9 project are taking place now. The accumulated spending of all of these productions has amounted to more than GEL 36.5 mln and more than 4 000 local jobs created.
