With the Support of the agency “Enterprise Georgia”, the booth of the state program “Film in Georgia” will be presented at the Berlin International Film Festival – Berlinale 2019.
The Berlinale is a unique place of artistic exploration and entertainment. It is one of the largest public film festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the globe, including 3 500 journalists each year. For the film industry and the media, the eleven days in February are also one of the most important events in the annual calendar and an indispensable trading forum.
Within the scope of this festival, there is presented the information booth of the program "Film in Georgia”, where any interested person will be able to obtain exhaustive information about the so-called "cash rebate" mechanism. In addition, the representatives of the program and the CEO of Enterprise Georgia Mikheil Khidureli will hold individual meetings with the leading representatives of Hungarian, Swedish and Polish film industry
The state program “Film in Georgia” is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia.
The incentive has already attracted 19 productions, out of which 13 have been completed, but the shootings of 6 project are taking place now. The accumulated spending of all of these productions has amounted to more than GEL 37.8 mln and 4 000 local jobs created.
