Bazis Bank to place ATMs in 4 objects under City Hall subordination

Bazisbank has gained a right to place ATMs in central parts of the city. The right was achieved through the tender, City Hall reports. 4 spots for ATMs installation will be passed to the bank in 10-year leasing.

The matter concerns to spots located on Rustaveli, Gamsakhurdia, Chavchavadze and Agmashenebeli avenues. The bank should install ATMs in 30 days.

TBC-Bank, Republic and Peoples Bank took part in tender as well. The decision was made envisaging the leasing fee offered, the City Hall informs.

Bazisbank offered annual leasing fee at 96,336 GEL, TBC-Bank – 96,000 GEL; Republic – 38,400 GEL; Peoples Bank – 14,400 GEL.

Currently Bazisbank holds 24 ATMs, 21 of which are placed in Tbilisi and 3 in regions. The bank plans to install 20 more ATMs by the end of the year.

Bazisbank has 9 branches in Tbilisi and 3 in regions. The bank plans to open 6-7 branches in Tbilisi and 3-4 in regions this year.

As for the financial performance of the bank, net profit made up 1.06 million lari in the 1st quarter of 2007. The figure 5 times exceeds last years showing and places Bazisbank 7th among Georgian bank. Net profit made up 2.3 million lari in 2006.

Total assets of the bank have increased by 1.8% since the beginning of the year and reached 81.03 million lari. This figure exceeds last years showing by 78.5% and places the bank 8th in the banking system.

Total liabilities increased by 0.6% since the beginning of 2007 and reached 64.3 million lari. This figure exceeds last years showing by 66.3% and places the bank 11th.

Among largest shareholders of Bazisbank are Zurab Tsikhistavi (director general) – 16.36%, Eldar Mildiani – 11.62%, Zaza Nishnianidze – 10%.
